Exactly. I like the MySQL from the fact that it creates more options
and more vendor opportunities.
But the real strength of the i5 is i5/OS and DB2 for i5/OS. I can just
start to hear the noise to increase when I say this but DB2 for i5/OS
rocks. Sure you can pick it apart and complain about certain features
but in the big picture I'd stack DB2 for i5/OS against any DB. Removing
it and you remove half the reason for most companies to using the i5.
