That's a nice argument for existing customers - but we need NEW
customers.

And as far as I could figure out with a quick google search, PHP with
DB2 connections uses TCP/IP even on the local machine.

My application, and therefore my database, are running under i5/OS. PHP
native can deliver the information contained within - sooner, faster,
and
more secure than the Linux server connected somehow to DB2.
