I have a 8300 Blackberry that has become part of my hip I use it so much. I
have service through Verizon which includes unlimited data. I "tether" it
up to my laptop and have full access to email/i5/web/remote desktop/etc.
Works great. When I need to get into my i5 back at the office I log into a
VPN appliance called Net Extender from Sonicwall.
On another note you can get 5250 emulation on your blackberry which I
haven't tried yet.

I am looking into way(s) to access our i5 when I am not at home or the
office. We use Verizon as our corporate cell phone provider.
All we really need is a way to check running jobs, answer error messages, do
some quick queries/checks on user setup (mostly in data files), maybe (?)
make some quick code changes, etc. We can access our i5 either thru a
direct dial # into the network, RAS? (so my boss says, I've never tried it,
guess I shoudl from home) or via Citrix over the internet. Key issues would
be cost, reliability and ease of use. I am thinking a PDA type device?
Recommendations/warnings would be appreciated.
