We upgraded a year or two ago and because of IBM's re-aligning of tiers ended up on a lower tier with better CPW.

Some vendors gave us the same maintenance price, some lowered it to match the tier, others hemmed and hawed and eventually gave in.

Now, most of them include CPW as part of the tier/pricing model.

Most of them now look at LPAR and how many partitions will be running the software...
