Exactly, especially since passwords are hidden and therefore we can't review what we've typoed.

That's good - but with long password support you can include blanks
- so
you can type

"Mary had a little lamb"
or
"I was there when Bonds hit #756!"
or
"this is really 1 stoopid fricking password"

long password support? make your password something you won't
forget...like for example:

thisisreally1stoopidfrickingpassword

should be fairly easy to remember 8^)

Thanks,

AND
5) at least one digit...

Don't forget #6.... "write the password down on a post-it."

I've never been a big lover of these rules as you make the
password
so

complicated to remember that it has to be written down. Of course,

now

that you've enabled large password support it's less of an issue.

Rob -

They are trying to solve a problem that will go away after the
next
password
change cycle (< 90 days). We just implemented long password

support

on

the
iSeries systems, and during the interim period they want this

solution

in

the event someone needs to reset their password.

My recommendation is to wait 90 days and the problem will fix

itself...

We currently have password rules in place that will require:

1) At least 1 upper-case character
2) At least 1 special character
3) No repeating characters
4) No characters can be repeated in the same position as the

previous

password.

Regards,
Steve
