I am soliciting opinions from the members of this list in respect to the
following somewhat hypothetical scenario. In order to reduce list clutter,
please email replies to me directly.
Suppose that a new System i web interface were to become available that
tapped into the WebFacing API and could therefore be used to provide a
relatively simple mechanism for the web enablement of existing RPG and
COBOL
applications.
Would you be more likely to give such software a trial if:
a) You could only run (say) three concurrent "5250" sessions, but there was
no time limit on the trial period
OR
b) have unlimited use of the full product but only for a limited period of
(say) 90 days.
