Rick,

To be clear, you "connect" to the systemi from a pc (via ODBC) and somehow
start a process that causes a pack slip to be printed from the systemi?

If this is the case, what exactly causes the pack slip to print?

Subject: Retrieving ODBC information

Connected to our iSeries via ODBC, we have several PC-based Clippership
systems that are used to print shipping labels for UPS, FedEx, etc. Each
one also has an individual printer that we use to print packslips. There
are no green-screen session on these systems. The problem: we are having a
difficult time trying to direct our packslips to the correct printer. We
cannot figure out a way to direct the packslip to the printer on the
Clippership systems where the shipping label is being printed. As it today,
we are printing all packslips on 1 printer.

We believe that if we could retrieve the ODBC login ID and/or its
IP-address, we may be able to solve this problem.

If anyone has any suggestions, we would certainly appreciate hearing them.

TIA.
