I've looked in the archives and found some older references to this
subject - but was hoping to see some new input. We are running V5r4 in a
single location. Out external user connections are minimal. Our entire
population of users authenticates and connects to our iSeries via active
directory.
That being said - it would be ideal if we could match the password
constraints of WINDOWS, particularly in regards to length (max length
14) - to do this we would have to go to password level 2.
I have done some of the pre-conversion work such as verifying current
passwords on our system are level 2 compliant.
What other gotchas are waiting to bite us?
Are there any pros or cons in staying at level 0 or switching to level 2
other than the ones I've stated? (we aren't looking at very long
passwords only 14 characters max)
