Why is everybody making this so much more complicated than it is?

We do have a system that reads the necessary data, squirts it to an authorization server here, then installs whatever that server sends back. It's how users trying QuestView for the first time can get up and running without having to call or email for a code. It works fine. It's not the issue.

The issue is validation of manually entered data. Making sure that the combination of model number and LPAR number is POSSIBLE. That's all.

So far, what I have is:

If the model number starts with a B, C, D, E, F, P, 3, or 4, or it's 200, 20S, 236, 150, or 170, then the LPAR number MUST be zero.

If the model number starts with 5, and is not either 500, 50S, 510, 530, or 53S, then the LPAR number MUST be nonzero.

Any other "must be zero" or "must be nonzero" cases I should know about? Anything I have listed as "must be zero" that shouldn't be?
