Do you think that digital signatures will make any headway in the near

future?

Digital signatures may make head-way in the future, but don't forget you
can use "electronic" signatures today -- actually for the past 7 years,
since the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act
("ESIGN") was signed into law in early 2000. Basically, if someone
"signs" electronically, the act says that "signature" carries as much
weight as the equivalent paper signature, that is, it can't be
discounted solely because it's electronic.
