Sorry Michael if my reply was too short. But since you didn't know about %nullind it means that you also don't know other implications about having null fields and using RPG. You should read Chapter 10, Database Null Value Support in ILE RGP Language Reference. And if you use Embedded SQL also SQL Embedded Programming.
