I sincerely hope that is true, for two reasons. First, I still code onUm... I think you misunderstand me. I already think that the Eclipse tooling is on a par with VS from a purely mechanical aspect. Eclipse's UI, especially the workbench/view/perspective paradigm, is in my mind superior to VS, but that's purely a subjective view.

to not feel like I just got out of a Ferrari and into an Amish Buggy.
And second, I like competition. Two strong IDEs can only make both
better.
