Joe,
You'll need another FC #2838 (or 4838 same deal.) You'll want to put it
in C06. The fun part is getting i5/OS to know that you switched form
twinax to LAN console. Run STRSST and then option 8. From there option 4
will configure the card's IP and such. Option 3 sets the console type.
For the PC Console I strongly recommend V6R1 of the client code. MUCH
improved over previous releases as they enhanced it to work with Blades. I
use it exclusively for FrankieIII's console.

Yes you can setup LAN console. You will need a dedicated(to LAN
Console) Ethernet card, and some patience, but it is doable.

The SPENDTIME command I don't mind - the SPENDMONEY command is a little
harder to do. I don't know much about hardware, but from what I can
tell, I've got an SDLC card (2745), a modem card (2771), an Ethernet
card (2838) and a twinax card (2746). The twinax and ethernet talk via
an IOP card (2842) while the other two talk to the motherboard (284D).
So only one Ethernet line. I'm not even sure I've got a place to put a
second one, although it looks like I might have slot C05 available.
