And how does the data get on the web page?  Sounds like a download to 
me.  Same would go for the submit action, sounds like an upload.

Will a webpage allow quick one button sorting by any of the columns?

Will a webpage allow the copy of one date value to a number of other 
rows in a simple paste action?

How does all of this happen without programming?  Sounds like your 
suggestion is the exact same method using a different base.
