I have recently been looking at ERP packages from both i based, either RPG or Java, mostly RPG and the Windows based. I can tell you that the W based are more impressive screens. Prettier, offering more Microsoft sophistery, better functionality. With the i packages, it seems like everything is more complicated to do screensides. Now, I love the i, and I would prefer to work on an i until I retire but I must be honest.
Now, I am not talking price, it can very well be that the cost is better on the i. I suspect it is, and I will know more about that, in the coming months.
If only the i software vendors could mimic the screens of the W world.
Thank you,
Adam West

Probably because they ARE new names for the same thing. *New, better,
faster, higher-capacity versions* of the same thing, but still
essentially the same thing.
