Looks like name resolution doesn't work. How are you trying to resolve
the hostname?

WINS? Netbios Broadcasts? DNS? For example, depending upon
configuration, WS08 or Vista might not respond to Netbios Broadcasts.

You can try to use the IP Adress directly, to see if this is the case.
