I'm glad you took some time to play in the sandbox. As to the
applications not being integrated, I loaded them "vanilla". I wanted each
application to stand on its own for evaluation purposes. Could they be
integrated? Absolutely. With a little knowledge of PHP and web design,
they could be intermingled quite nicely. Once again, its open source. You
can change it however you want and take pieces from different applications
and merge them into new applications.
But this is not unique to open source apps. Our shop has vendor
applications on i which have UI layouts that I do not care for in the
least. Obviously, I don't use that styling in my in house apps. So they
do look different.
