Hey, the monkeys have been here longer than I have! However, in the past
they've just been someone to print and distribute reports so they're on
desks before 7:00 AM. and call for help if something goes wrong. They
didn't run the jobs to create the reports and they didn't try to determine
the cause of the error or fix it - just call for help. Now the people that
get called ("programmers") are getting tired of being called because we've
grown from a company that only needed monkeys to a company that does
hardcore computing overnight and needs to have smarter operators. So, yes,
now we want them to have a brain and think.
