Is SSRS a web based reporting tool?

Yes.

Are the reports being produced real-time off the DB2 data or are you
replicating the data into MS SQL on some schedule? (there was a desire
for live, real-time reporting on the original post)

Either/or. Most of our reports currently use live data from DB2.

How are you replicating all your data from DB2 in MS SQL? Did you have
to write that code yourself? Don't you need to have twice the disk
space (data in DB2 and data in MS SQL) than if you did your reporting
off DB2 directly?

The vast bulk of our data is still trapped in DB2. I've begun replicating
some of that data over to SQL Server, but do not need to do so for SSRS. The
data that I have transferred across was done using another "free" component
of SQL Server called SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). There was no
code involved.
