I do not work for a CM company but I love the product we have, Arcad. www.arcadsoftware.com
It not only controls who has which piece of code at any given time, it also provides an excellent crosswalk of the entire system and the ability to manage and control software releases. I would not want to run a development shop with more than two people without a tool to keep us from stepping on each others toes.

Never heard of CMS before I was on this list and I'd like to know more about these. We've always had our own installation tools, but constantly finding ways in which they need to be perfected.

What might a good CMS do that our own tools can't?
