Hello all,
We are about to upgrade our notes systems and we are reviewing upgrade
documents and we came across this...
Per IBM's hardware recommendations for Domino 8.5 we need the Accelerator
processor feature.
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?&uid=swg27013080
Our backup System i 9405-520 Express model is running processor feature
7142 we need to be at 7682 (see table below).
Our primary system 9406-520 is running processor feature 7373. This model
is supported on 8.5.

We can upgrade to the Accelerator feature per IBM's doc. Looks like its
just a matter of purchasing a hardware activation code.

My questions are what is this feature and do we really need this? It is a
DR box and yes I know we should be able to roll over to the DR box if we
have too. Both of our system run 30% or less CPU utilization all day. We
have a large billing job at night that takes 45 minutes to run. We are
also Notes clustered between three servers; two System i and one MS2003
server. We are using iTera to replicate between the System i's. So not
a large load any information on this feature would be great.
Thank You,
Ed
