I'd use the separate cables.  Op's console into T1 and the other one into 
T2.  If you're tight on ports there are alternatives but this is the 
easiest to understand.  Back of box should show you T1 and T2.
Jerry has 2 or 3 boxes running Lan Console, right?  It would be like 
having multiple system consoles without having to change a dip switch or 
anything.  Test before you need.
There's one beauty of not using the dedicated network.  PC running lan 
console 1000 miles away dies; simply configure another one.
