Rob brings out a very good point here and one that's not mentioned a lot in
linux land. That being that a lot of vendors code to the distro and not the
the vanilla definitions...so you can have some issues on implementation...
As the application vendors their distro of preference and perhaps which
distros they support...then make a decision from there..

Don't know enough to begin to offer an opinion, but, are the applications
you plan on running on it voicing a preference? Then stick with that
since the choice is open to you and have no predisposed feelings.
That being said, we're running SUSE. To run Tivoli Storage Manager.
