Just read that.  It appears that when B90037FF the person just did a 
scratch install.  I'm trying to avoid that.

No, I wasn't.  The system had been powered off for about a month and come 
up with a cache problem which we took care of.  But after IPLing from that 
we always stop at B90037FF.

Unfortunately those don't show how to successfully bring the system up.
