How true. But I'm pretty sure the console had to be address 0 on port 0.

The first 520's came with a twinax console that required none of
the many hoops you seem to be jumping through.

Total setup time for a running machine was well under 30 minutes.

1. Attach controller cables.
2. Attach cable from console to controller brick port 1.
3. Set address of console to 1.
4. Press power button on 520
5. Sign on and set system options.

It would appear that things have gone in a much different direction.
