You could change the program that creates the spool file to run under a
different profile. Then make sure your users do not have *SPLCTL
authority.

subject: not allow a user to delete a spool file they created in a
certain output queue

I have a process that ovrprtf outq(elect) for certain reports a user can
run. I have a data queue attached to the output queue that processes
the spool file. The problem I am having is that the users can delete the
spool file before the process is done.

Is there a way of stopping a user from deleting a spool file located in
that output queue? They will still be the owner of the spooled file.
