RE: FTP file from AS400 Library to PC

I cannot say why it would be blank, but in general OUTFILE output tends to
contain binary and/or packed data, and that is not usually going to be
handled well on the PC except via programs specifically designed for each
file.

Have you looked at the Transfer Data (from/to) functions provided by Client
Access standard installation?  That may be more to your liking.  You may
also be able to use IMPORT function from a variety of PC-based tools such as
Excel and Access.
