Remember that QUSRSYS, QGPL, and QSYS2 get saved as part of the *ALLUSR
(make sure you get a good clean save with no locks on these libraries), and
should be installed before or after the 22, but I won't restore any user
libraries before these.

Save 21 Option?

Thanks just what I needed to know, I have a client that wants to do a 21
eery so often and then restore from his nightly which as SAVSECDTA, SAVCFG,
SAVLIB *ALLUSR, SAVDLO and them the Full IFS via the save cmd.

The DR plan will be along these lines ( 30,000ft level )
Full System Save tape
Restore LIC
Install OS
Restore 22 ( *IBM )
Nightly Save tape
Restore 23
Rerun the rstlib *ALLUSR using *NEW options to pick logicals not
restored previously

Yes you can, I did it yesterday. I had a Save option 21, and just needed
the IBM stuff off of it, and I did a Restore 22.

OK, I haven't tried or done this for a while and the brain cells need a
refresh.
