Kenneth--

Are you using MIMIX or other high-availability software? This could
help keep your data refreshed on the new system without a lot of pain.

Are you using a Change Management System? We use Aldon's CMS, and have
used it in the past to keep our two 'live' systems and two 'new' systems
in sync for a major upgrade.

Revving up the CMS we were able to keep all program changes in sync
between the 4 systems ("Of course we can freeze all program changes
until the new machines are running!" they lied) so we didn't have to
worry about wrong versions of programs. And even though we did refresh
the data by hand a couple of times, letting MIMIX do the heavy lifting
made the final data cutover a lot smoother.
