There is a problem on V5R4 with PTF's not being decompressed after
being downloaded. and QWVRCSTK being called in a database trigger. It
slowed down our system by a factor of 4 to 5 times slower. A firm in
Germany had their system go from 2 second to 2 minute response times.
The cause was IBM was no decompressing the programs after the programs
were used. Had to Decompress IBM programs. IBM is going to put out a
APAR SE45018 which will provide a PTF to ensure compressed programs
observable information is decompressed permanently the first time the
API is called
