Once again, I'm in DST.
Friday, at Larry's suggestion, I pulled one of the drives of the #2
mirrored pair, and replaced it (adjusting the jumper settings) with one
of the non-reporting drives.
That drive's serial number now shows up twice: as a missing drive, and
as a non-configured drive.
As I said to Larry:
I'm now seeing, in "packaging hardware resources," a 6607 with the
correct serial number, in device position 1.
It also appears at the bottom of "display disk hardware status." But not
with a unit number. And it's also still showing up there (with the
correct unit number) as a missing drive.
Am I in a position where I can finally do something?
Is this something that "Recover configuration," or one of the other
"Work with disk unit recovery" options can fix?
