Perhaps.... but using client-side certificates in FTPS to replace passwords is even more involved than digital keys in sftp! So, sftp is still easier to set up.

I suppose if you compare password authentication with ftps against digital key authentication with sftp, then ftps might be easier. (Assuming you have a network where it'll work at all.) But... that's not really comparing apples to apples, is it?
