I think he said he was one byte off. Which often occurs when you don't
think pointers but instead think the old "let's copy into another field or
data structure" approach. "Offset" is geared towards pointers. When I
did the move stuff I would have
old=%subst(datastuff:oroff-80+1:orrcl);
the -80 + 1 was to help document that. Granted, the 80 should have been a
defined constant or something different.

Line above was taken from an actual trigger program. I think that one
used the old move method because I have some people who are extremely
pointer phobic. Once you've done a few list programs with pointers you
begin to embrace them.
