I have an existing application that supports APPC communication between
instances of itself on separate hosts. Assuming that I define things
appropriately, is it possible to use APPC between applications on the SAME
host? If so, how do I define that? I've been slogging through manuals, and I
am still very confused.
If I specify the local host name as the remote host name, is APPC smart
enough to short-circuit the connection to the application on the same host
without needing to go out on the wire?
If anyone has suggestions for where to look, or (please, please) maybe an
example of app A talking to app B on the same host, I'd be VERY grateful.
