DB2 for i is a separate product from DB2 for LUW and/or DB2 for z.

DB2 for i version matches the OS version.

Many features all available in all platforms, but some are not (many
because the i doesn't need it due to the architecture.)

Hi All,

Can someone tell me if there's a version difference between the standalone version of DB2 and the one that is integrated in the v6.1?  One of my programmers asked me that question as there are some features in the newer versions that would be useful to him.

Is there a cl command I can run to determine the version of DB2 that is on our system, or does it follow the system version (ie: v5.4 OS = v5.4 DB2, etc.)?

Thankee-sai!
