The APAR\PTF information from the earlier reply is probably very specific to the "replay" API as described in the APAR and PTF cover-letter text, and probably only in relation to DLTF activity; i.e. though a similar symptom in common being logged, probably the old issue has nothing to do with the ADDPFCST difficulty seen here, which is due to a parent file in-use condition.

The files are in a V7.1, but I also use them from V5.3 and V5.2. The
PTF may be useful there, or I will have to finish the migration to
be able to disconnect the V5.2 and upgrade the V5.3.

What version of the OS?
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas3f919e80d79073d1186256fcc004d1bf5

The above ptf is for V5R3. I didn't see a match in the V5R3 to
V5R4 cross reference in SF97085, V5R3 to V6R1 cross reference in
SF97074,. There is a match for V5R2, see apar SE19531 at
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas2c46f6d76ae9a031086256fbf00420857

If you are on a supported version of OS then I'd ask IBM WTF is
going on here. This is abnormal.
