Yes. This is true for 710, 720, 730, and 740 and both the 'B' and 'C'
generations. ***DO NOT REMOVE*** the cover while operating or you'll be
able to remove the cards.... because the power will shut off and do so
real sudden-like. (oops!) IBM chose not to include that capability in
the low end machines.
If you have expansion units such as 5802 or 5877 those units support
concurrent maintenance.
