I think that was your environment, that isn't true for everyone. In addition, SSD's have come down drastically since you probably first looked at them.

Yes, but it's been awhile and I've forgotten most.

The reason we bought SSD's was to improve Month End. This process keeps users off of the system. The money for SSD's was a waste. We got infinitely more benefit out of buying 5770-SS1, option 42 "HA Journal Performance" feature 5117.
