Oooh, *SERVICE, not my favorite way to do a CUME. Part of what I like about image catalogs is the verification step. It's always been possible for there to be PTF *SAVFs in QGPL that are not known to the system, yes they can be found with UPDPTFINF but who remembers to do that?

How is your firmware managed? HMC or by PTF?

What do you see in DSPFMWSTS?

Is the screen below the entire output of WRKPTFGRP? If so you may be 'somewhat behind' on PTFs. Can you send the first screen from DSPPTF (999) and then press Enter and also send the first screen of SS1?

I ordered the latest CUM from fix central, SF99540. I tried creating the
image catalogs but the verify PTF always told me I had a volume missing even
though I had _1 thru _15.

I then tried the download direct to system. It died with about 20% download
remaining, I started it back up and it resumed, and finished.

I did option #8 to install the cum from *SERVICE. It created a 480 page job
log, with many messages that PTF's were temporarily applied, but the final
message is Errors occurred while applying PTF's.

DSPPTF *ACTRQD shows a message that server firmware level mismatch. Is that
my problem?

WRKPTFGRP shows this.

Opt PTF Group Level Status

SF99540 11137 Not installed

It's been awhile since I've been in charge of applying group PTF's and I
never had these kind of problems before. How can I find out what I need to
do? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jack
