I think that COLUMN level encryption was one of the few new things that came
out with 7.1. 7.1 appears to have been primarily (at least initially) a
hardware release primarily. But from a software side, I think column level
encryption came out.
You can also easily roll your own...check the archives for encryption and
the MI400 list as well for encryption discussions.
