I use Scott's JDBC api extensively. Best bet in my opinion is to use
Stored Procedures to get or put data. Be happy to send code doing
stored procedure calls and have one example using direct SQL.

Subject: Iseries to MS-SQL server

Is it possible to retrieve or update an SQL server database directly from the iseries via RPG or COBOL?

Not file transfer but record retrieval & updates.

Is anyone familiar with any utilities or products or APIs that would help with this?

Thanks!
