We offer a product called RPG to SQL Integrator that can read/write SQL Server as well as other databases and Excel Spreadsheets directly.

You no doubt have already talked to Bill Whalen since CHS is an RJS customer :-)

Is it possible to retrieve or update an SQL server database directly from the iseries via RPG or COBOL?

Not file transfer but record retrieval & updates.

Is anyone familiar with any utilities or products or APIs that would help with this?
