Doubt it with OPNQRYF but you can with SQL.

INSERT INTO CustfilewithRRNField (RRNfield, field1, field2,
etc..)
SELECT RRN(CUSTFILE), field1, field2, etc...
FROM CUSTFILE

Subject: OPNQRYF: can I map a record's RRN to a field in the output
file?

Is it possible to place the RRN of the input record into a field in the
output file using OPNQRYF?

OPNQRYF FILE((CUSTFILE *FIRST *ONLY))
MAPFLD((rrnFld %RRN *CALC *N *N *CALC))

CPYFRMQRYF FROMOPNID(CUSTFILE) TOFILE(CUSTFILEwithRRNfield)
