Before Release 6.1 was the default value *NO in Release 6.1 the default
value was changed to *YES

Rob - I've considered contacting IBM, but am reluctant to spend too much
time on this unless we have another unpleasant experience. My current
interest is in what's different when as far as I can tell the environments
are identical. The link Luis provided (thanks Luis) got me thinking that a
call to IBM just to find out how to determine what the value of
IGNORE_DERIVED_INDEX is when it's not an entry in the QAQQINI file.
