So it's the file itself, even when moved, reports as a directory?

What if you create a new file with the same name? Does that also report as
a DIR? I'm wondering here if it's the file itself that is odd, or if it's
the filename that may be causing the issue.

I'd even be curious if you were to save this file, restore it on another
system and see if it does the same thing.

I hate to say it, but IBM may need a call. But something in the back of my
head tells me that it's something simple that possibly is being overlooked.
