I use (and am the author of) MAILTOOL every day as well. :)

www.bvstools.com/mailtool.html.

I like to think it's priced fairly and the support is top notch, but I may
be a bit biased. ;)

One great feature of MAILTOOL is with the Plus addon you can bypass the IBM
SMTP server so there's none of that setup needed for MSF or SMTP. All you
need is TCP setup.

It also allows authentication and SSL and TLS connections which are
becoming more popular with mail servers. It's tested and proven to work
with Gmail (normal or for business) and Microsoft cloud mail services. I
even have the CAs needed to work with them available and can help install
them.

Not to mention the logging makes tracking down errors super easy. Also,
the option to view and resend emails that didn't send. Either one by one
or in batch (all of them at once).

Always willing to chat offline to.. Thanks!

Hi Mark,

We use SPOOLMAIL from Gumbo, and have for years.

Is very inexpensive and easy to use.

Thanx,

I am looking for email package recommendations on the i. The basic
requirement is for outgoing mail, so various documents like invoices,
shipping confirmations, etc. can be emailed instead of printed and
mailed.

Both free and vendor solution recommendations are welcome. Since
I'm sure this has come up before, if anyone has a list they'd be
willing to share, I'd appreciate it. A quick search of
Midrange.com's archive did not yield a good list.

Thank you.
