Nope. We use a 10-character or less naming convention. Here's an example of the SQL to build one (with "mylib" replacing the actual schema name):

CREATE VIEW mylib.companyv1 AS (
SELECT 0 AS compid, 'Unknown/unmaintained' AS compdesc FROM sysibm.sysdummy1
UNION ALL
SELECT cocoid AS compid, codesc AS compdesc FROM mylib.company ) ;

Possible that the view name and the system view name differ? Like
create view MyViewWithTheBigHonkingName ...
