I appreciate the information everyone shared.
I accomplished the clearing of the stored LAN configuration, deactivated and reactivated the adapter and also reset the service device all through the control panel.
A lot of 65 functions and up and down arrows. :)
I removed the entries from the HOSTS file on the PC. I deleted and recreated the LAN console on the PC and it connected first time.
