RE: Upgrading R&D LPAR from V6R1 to V7R1 TR7

Using the HMC create partition wizard, I created a 4th partition.
However, no where through this process did I see where this partition would be "hosted" and tied to an existing partition.
At this point, it appears as a "normal" or "standard" partition, with no physical hardware assigned to it.

You can add more storage spaces on the fly. Just don't add more than 16 to one device. Create another device instead. Otherwise the 17th space will just eat space and never be used. Can only be removed in a system down condition.
