There are a few time share websites out there. Like
http://www.idevcloud.com/

I've often wondered if there would be a site for people to do stuff like
"hey I need a utility to ... Would $20 be enough". Some small stipend to
make the hobbyist feel that people appreciate their work. IDK if this
would fly on the consult400 list at the midrange.com website.
